I’ll Legalise Marijuana – Mahama’s Contender
Even before he assumes the seat of power, 45-year-old man contesting President John Mahama says he will legalise the use of marijuana if he becomes president of Ghana.
“We will grow and export it [marijuana] under government control. It will help us. Weed is not a bad thing,” Mr. George Boateng said.
Ignorant of what the laws of the land says about the marijuana in Ghana, the former aide to former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings to Joy FM News he will “legalise the substance and give import licenses to wee exporters so that we can export wee and we can earn more currency for our development”.
Mr. Boateng argued the substance is medicinal and could become a major export commodity for the West African country.
“The government can export marijuana and use the proceeds to develop the country,” he added,
George Boateng has already picked up forms to contest the sitting president in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential primary slated for November 7, 2015.
He has criticized president Mahama of failing woefully hence his decision to contest him.
