Ruff N Smooth to sue Guru for $10,000

Ruff N Smooth are in the news to take Guru on for performing their Send Your Fire single in Gabon over the weekend.
The duo claims they told Guru not perform the record

because another event house in Gabon had booked them just to come perform the single very soon.
Guru on the other hand closed his 15 track performance with “Send Your Fire” and the duo wants Guru to pay them about $10,000 for using the song in his set.
A member of the duo Bullet among other things mentioned music brands that were strong struggling for a hit song.
He told Happy FM's Showbiz Xtra;
“In Ghana, artists survive with songs and not brands.
And so you have to keep your brand alive with songs. Many artists have been around for a while but as soon as you stop making hits, you vanish.
“If you go to Nigeria, Tony Tetuila is still performing while Tic Tac is not performing. It's real and he understands it. It's the way the industry and game works.
“Akatakyie should be performing; KK Fosu should be trending and performing. They have the brands but they don't have the song. ”
