Many call him a Boxer, others a Comedian; he says he is a and would soon become an actor too, but one thing Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku, does not mind is his inability to get formal education.
He has disclosed that he was expelled from school because he beat his ill-mannered teacher in his first year at Junior High School.
The incident did not only bring his Junior High School education to an abrupt end, but his attempts at getting formal education too.
This is how Bukom Banku narrated the incident to MzGee on the Hitz FM Entertainment Week [his ‘broken English' has not been edited]:
“I went for school at Accra Royal around the James Town Police Station. But me I didn't make it to Senior Secondary School. I was done at JHS 1. I did not continue through because I beat my teacher. My teacher misbehaved so I gave him some punches and I was sacked from the school but I don't care because I don't think school can do anything for me”.
However he says his currently doing everything to ensure his children attend school.
Bukom Banku who describes his kind of English language as Banacular (a fusion of English and Ga) has new A High Life song titled ‘Anyemi'.
He believes ‘Anyemi', which talks about hypocrites in society, in will win him an award next year.
“This song ‘dei33' by all means it will take award. Me I feature this two people: Fanny and King Jerry. I did this song because of the Bukom people, they laugh with you but their minds are not correct. If you have money, they spend it with you but if you face trouble, then you will see your mother,” he said.
Bukom Banku added that plans are advanced for the shooting of his new movie ‘Aburi Girls'.
“My film will be out this year, I'm writing the script. It would feature , Atta Chorkor and others from Bukom. Some girls in my area travel to Aburi for prostitution,” he said about his upcoming film.
Bukom Banku also revealed on the show that he is a music freak and named Shatte Wale, Screw Face and Castro as his favourite musicians.
He has promised to live up to billing at this year's Old Skuulz Reunion scheduled for October, 10 at the independence square with his ‘Anyemi' track.

The accident occurred at CP, close to the DSTV office towards the Dzowulu traffic light in Accra.

According to the Editor for Modern news portal, Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri who witnessed the accident, he was right behind the musician's car when the accident happened around 11:30 pm.

He told Myjoyonline.com that he only noticed it was the musician in the car with one male passenger when he went closer to offer assistance.

“I was behind him, and so I was the first person to rush to his rescue. I arranged for a vehicle to convey him together with one person onboard to the UGMC hospital.”

He explained that the tipper truck was in motion but moving slowly when the musician crashed into it from behind.

He believes the accident occurred because the N1 highway is dark due to poor lighting, while the tipper truck also lacked tail light worsening visibility.

According to him, the artiste appears to have broken his arm as a cut was visible with blood all over.

“He's fine. He had a broken arm with blood all over his hands. The car is badly damaged and all the airbags were out. He could have died”he said.

The artiste was in a range rover with registration number, GC- 220-21.
