WATCH: President Obama and Michelle Obama singing happy birthday for Usher

Can you imagine President John Mahama and the first lady singing happy birthday for Sarkodie? Well scratch that… if it were to happen, it would most likely be for John Dumelo’s birthday…Anyway,  R&B singer, Usher was left speechless during a recent visit to the White House when President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama surprised him for his birthday.

According to US Weekly, the impromptu moment went down at

a meet-and-greet in the Oval Office. The R&B singer, 37, was taken aback when a woman interrupted their conversation to give Flotus, 51, a candlelit cupcake in Usher’s honor.http://players.brightcove.net/3891678522001/default_default/index.html?videoId=4566657190001

“Oh, look at that!” POTUS, 54, said before breaking out into song. “Happy birthday Usher, happy birthday to you! That’s a good cupcake, too!”

Usher shared a video of the special sing-along on his Facebook page on Saturday, saying : “So this really happened the other night…The President and First Lady sang me Happy Birthday at The White House & I got to perform for them,” Usher captioned the clip. “I couldn’t be more grateful for this moment and all of the birthday wishes from everyone. THANK YOU!!!!! #‎Blessed #‎OlderWiser.”
