Respond professionally or don't at all – Ex- Doe to Shatta Wale

Published

Based on his experience and lessons learned, Hiplife mogul Ex-Doe, real name Richard Kwasi Siaw Akrofi, has cautioned to focus on his extant world tours rather than replying Samini's recent diss song or retaliate professionally.
Just when Ghana thought the musical rivalry between Samini and has finally ended, Samini has rekindled their lyrical war with a new single titled Vex Madd. It is a cover of Drake's Back to Back
song, and he featured his Highgrade colleague, Hus Eugene.
About two months ago, the birth of Shatta Wale's son, Majesty, prompted him to smoke the peace pipe with his fellow Dancehall artiste, Samini and every industry person he has in a way offended, but aside indirect posts on certain social media platforms, Samini never really retorted Shatta's apology until recently. In the freshly released Vex Madd song, one needs not to be told the content is directed at Shatta Wale. Samini proved his versatility as a musician by rapping and laying bare his emotions on their grudge without mentioning Shatta's name.
A few hours after the song went viral on various mediums, both Shatta Wale and his manager, Bulldog, took to their Twitter accounts to indirectly reply Samini's song. While Shatta made vulgar tweets, his manager, on the other hand, made a mockery of Samini's song in his tweets.
Speaking with Flex newspaper, Ex-Doe, who is well known for his history with musical wars like this has opined that, considering the serious effects his former beef with certain Ghanaian artistes had on him, he does not deem it advisable or necessary for Shatta Wale to retaliate.
“My personal advice is that Shatta should focus on his tour and let stuffs like this which will only distract him slide for the mean time. He should not bother to reply because he doesn't even know why it took Samini so long to bring out a song like that. If Shatta Wale replies quickly instead of concentrating on his career, Samini will only be stealing all his focus,” he stated.
According to Ex-Doe, he does not know where the Shatta-Samini beef is coming from, but for him, his grudge with Chicago was real. Although he did that for a reason, he has not repeated it again because he came to realize that, it is only a person without focus in life who retaliates to almost everything.
He went on to say that, all that noise and unnecessary musical grudges did not help him in anyway, and he is still battling with the rippling effects by taking unending measures to eliminate the negative image he carved for himself.
However, in contradiction to his earlier advice to Shatta Wale, Ex-Doe again suggested that, for business wise, if Shatta wants to reply Samini at all costs, he should do it professionally this time around.
“If Shatta wants to reply, there's nothing wrong with it business wise but he must do it professionally. He should not go below the belt by involving Samini's family in their beef. If he goes too raw in his reply, it won't make waves because aside not being able to perform it at corporate functions, it won't receive airplay as well. The little I heard from Samini's was normal and not too harsh,” Ex-Doe posited.
Citing his musical career as a case study, Ex-Doe, in conclusion, urged Samini and Shatta Wale to scrutinize the odium their feud has attracted to their personae in order to prevent the regret they will suffer in about ten or five years to come when everyone is fed up with their tarnished personalities.
Meanwhile, Ex-Doe is busy in the studio right now trying his possible best to release four extraordinary singles all in a day before December 2015.
He has called on all and sundry to watch out for him as he starts massive promotion on the four next singles God willing next year January.

“COVID Messed Me Up” – Guru Recounts

Published

Guru

The 2020 COVID-19 epidemic was difficult for Ghanaian artist Maradona Yeboah Adjei, better known by his stage names and NKZ. He talked about these and other difficult situations.

At the height of the pandemic, Guru described how travel restrictions caused what was intended to be a quick two-week vacation in the US to become a five-month agony.

He experienced a depressive episode after his return to Ghana as a result of the prolonged stay's negative effects on his mental state.

Guru discovered during this period that a lot of things had changed in his life, such as the loss of his team and a slump in his profession. He said, looking back on his trip, “I went for two weeks, and COVID extended my stay.” It took some time for me to rebuild my energies after returning because everything had gone wrong in the nation.

Guru used music as a therapeutic avenue to vent his feelings and as a coping mechanism for his dejection.

He worked with fellow musician Fameye on a song that depicted his journey through hardship and personal challenges.

“In my sad moments, I use music to relieve myself,” Guru shared. “I was trying to express something and make it more comical, but it's music; I just have to balance it.”

“I’m Not Bothered About Shatta Wale Mocking My Disability; It Speaks A Lot About Him” – Stonebwoy (Video)

Shatta wale and stonebwoy

There's an old video on the internet with multiple award-winning reggae-dancehall kings talking about the ongoing abuse he gets from fellow artist Shatta Wale.

About the incident that almost claimed the lives of him, his sister, and his father, spoke candidly.

When he experienced the accident, Stonebwoy claims to have been 14 years old. He revealed they were getting ready to go on a trip overseas when a police cruiser slammed into them.

He told how his sister, who is currently overseas, is still experiencing pain from the accident and how it severely damaged his leg.

Stonebwoy said, “Shatta's actions only prove how naive he is,” when asked how he felt about Shatta Wale continuously making fun of him for his limp.

He continued by saying that Shatta Wale's acts just demonstrate his ignorance of the complexity of human nature and the hardships that certain individuals must face in order to thrive.

Shatta Wale has made it a point to criticize Stonebwoy and call him “apakye” for constantly limping over the last several days.

“I Spend 800 Cedis Daily Whenever I’m In Accra” – Kyekyeku Reveals

Kyekyeku

In anticipation of the release of his film “1957,” Ghanaian actor has shared details about his everyday costs since moving to Accra.

He said that the expense of living in Accra is more than it was in Kumasi, where he used to live and where the cost of products and services is lower.

The actor revealed that he spends between GH¢700 and GH¢800 a day on food, petrol, and other costs when talking about how he manages the cost of living.

Though the expense of living in Accra is high, the city itself is lovely. While costs in Accra are slightly higher than in Kumasi, they are still reasonable. A GH¢20 item in Kumasi will cost GH¢25 in Accra. To some extent, I guess that's because it's the capital city.

“Considering fuel, food, and other small expenses, I could spend between GH¢700 and GH¢800 with my daily expenses,” stated in an interview with Zionfelix.

He traveled from Kumasi to Accra lately in order to be ready for the debut of his movie, 1957, and to get to know the locals, he said in response to a question about why he did so.
