Ghanaian rapper Edem (@iamedem) may be considered as host this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards should his early call to organizers be attended to.
Speculations as to who hosts the 17th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards just began as Charterhouse, organizers of the annual music awards scheme announced the call for entries by musicians.
Although the ‘bidding’ seems to have begun, Ghanaian rapper and CEO of Volta Regime Music, Edem believes he’s best qualified to host the awards show this year.
In a short but precise message shared on Facebook, the musician whose recent single Nana 3ba has been greeted with varying political opinions asked organizers of the awards to reach out to him to work on a deal.
“I THINK I WOULD MAKE A GREAT HOST FOR THE 2016 GHANA MUSIC AWARD…WHAT DO YALL THINK. …CHARTER HOUSE SHOULD REACH OUT LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN.”
As it stands, it is unknown who hosts this year’s awards but just like it is done elsewhere with musicians hosting award shows, would you wish to see Edem host the VGMAs?
Nominees list for the awards is expected to be announced in the first quarter of the year 2016.
