I left Hitz FM Because of Okraku-Mantey – Blakk Rasta
Former host of Hitz FM's Taxi Drive show, Blakk Rasta (@blakkRasta) has disclosed that he resigned from the station not only because he felt he was betrayed but also to give Mark Okraku-Mantey the “chance to fail”.
Blakk Rasta resigned from Hitz FM after he was hauled before the Privileges Committee for allegedly claiming that about 80% of Parliamentarians smoke marijuana.
The outspoken radio presenter was unhappy about how management handled his issue. According to him, they acted as if they cared less about the repercussions. He had claimed that the lawyer given him by management to defend him was a student lawyer and felt he was not fairly treated.
But speaking on Peace FM's Entertainment Review show on Saturday, Blakk Rasta indicated that Okraku-Mantey who had been appointed as Programmes Manager proposed that his show, Taxi Drive which aired mid-morning be scheduled for the evening.
“…when Mark assumed office as Programmes Manager, he told management he wanted to move Taxi Driver to the evening because in his opinion, it was, for want of a better word, ‘profane'. Management did not agree but he brought that suggestion back in six months so I felt I should give them the chance to succeed with his idea. I knew it would be very difficult for the bosses to take me out,” he noted.
Asked if he would have accepted to host an evening show, Blakk Rasta replied in the affirmative.
“Whichever time you give me, I will deliver… I wanted to give Mark the chance to fail,” he stated.
After eight months of resignation, Blakk Rasta says he will be back on Radio if he gets a good deal with a three-four hour airtime. He also indicated that he prefers being in Accra to any other part of the country.

“I Accepted A Bribe To Keep Mute After Seeing A Pastor Bonk A Colleague’s Wife In His Office” – Gospel Singer, Erico
Famous for competing in the Mentor competition, gospel artist Eric Oduro has shared how he exposed a senior pastor who was having an extramarital affair with a colleague's wife.
In his account of the incident on Adom TV's Okukuseku with Emelia Brobbey, Erico said that he had been hired to serve at a church in Nungua when the incident occurred.
It was his responsibility, he said, to oversee a spirit-filled ministry that would bring in the senior pastor to deliver a sermon to the congregation.
He stated he had to reroute his route and return to the church after doing his work and leaving the property because he had forgotten his glasses in the pastor's office.
Upon barging into the senior pastor's office, he said the scene that unfolded before him was so shocking that, to date, he occasionally gets flashbacks.
Erico recounted seeing the pastor pants down while banging the junior pastor's wife, who doubles as the church's secretary, on his desk.
As he snatched his spectacles and made attempts to quietly walk out, he said the pastor pleaded with him not to create a scene as church service was still ongoing.
In exchange for his silence, Erico claims the pastor offered him a substantial bribe, which he accepted.

“I Won’t Advice Myself To Date An Industry Person” – Gyakie
Ghanaian artist Gyakie has opened up about her misgivings about dating a man who works in the music or creative arts fields.
Although love is undoubtedly lovely, Gyakie stated in a recent interview with 3FM that romantic connections with individuals in your career could be challenging.
She would not be dating anyone in the industry for the time being, even if she accepted that love is erratic.
If there's another version of myself, I won't counsel myself to do that. As it might be quite risky, I wouldn't suggest doing that.
“Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn't say it's wrong, but at the same time, right now, I wouldn't advise myself to be with an industry person,” Gyakie said.

Ghanaian dancer and dance coach Laud Anoo Konadu, known professionally as Dancegod Lloyd, has taken to his official X page to blow his own trumpet since the general public is refusing to give him flowers for his contribution to the Ghanaian music industry in the last few years.

After Legendary Paa Tee and Adjetey Sowah's era, I played the biggest role in giving the dance industry in Ghana a face in modern day Entertainment. The evidence is there. The number of No.1 songs my dance has influenced…
