The singer who competes with other renowned African musicians for the award Friday morning expressed her joy for the nomination in an interview with Jeremie on Live FM in Accra.
According to the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Best Female Vocalist Of The Year award-winner, her 2016 BET Nomination will open doors for other Ghanaian female musicians.
“I'm really excited. I'm restless, it's amazing. I'm just running all over in the house. I think it's just the beginning of female musicians in Ghana. I'm the first female musician from Ghana to rep in the BETs. I'm extremely thankful to my fans. They are amazing, my head is big already”
The “Borkor Borkor” singer was nominated for the 2016 Best International Act: Africa category with AKA (South Africa), Wizkid (Nigeria), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Cassper Nyovest (SouthAfrica), Black Coffee (South Africa), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) and Serge Beynaud (Cote D'Ivoire).
