Ghanaians should grow – Bulldog opens fire.
Artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog, is unhappy about how EL was treated by a section of the gathering at the 2016 Tigo Ghana Meets Naija.
The artiste who had no option than to hold on with his performance due to a technical hitch was reported to have been booed after his comeback.
Reports were that EL on different occasions said he wished to register his displeasure regarding an issue but never did.
This seemed to have irked some patrons who reportedly booed the reigning Artiste of the Year.
The posture of the gathering has been described by Bulldog as unwarranted considering the fact that other nationals were present at the Accra International Conference Centre, where the event was held.
“Ghanaians should grow. If it were a Ghana show and you were rooting for Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, I won't mind. But we have visitors in there. It's more like we are pitching Ghana against Nigeria. How stupid can we be? It doesn't make any sense. I believe that some of these things should stop. If we don't push our stars, who will?” he queried.
Minutes after Lynx Entertainment Act, MzVee, was nominated for the 2016 Black Entertainment Television (BET Awards), some people took to various social media platforms to discredit her. Bulldog has asserted that such comments will not bring any progress but regression.
“Look at MzVee's nomination; we are talking backwards. I think we should grow. If we don't, we will wallow around and nothing positive will happen. What has EL done? What has MzVee done for us to be throwing all sorts of nonsense about?” he queried again.
Meanwhile, EL has stated that he was not angry during his performance but was frustrated.
“I wasn't angry, I was just frustrated. It's a technical thing and you cannot predict the way machines will work. I heard the machine was heating up so someone had to pull some things out… You can't blame anybody for that… There were so many things we planned to do but we couldn't. I guess next time, we are going to have a real serious talk about this with anybody who will be involved so that we can avoid it” he told Hitz FM.
