They are arguably two of the biggest artistes on the music scene today and patrons who will thronged the National Theatre on Saturday, July 2 will enjoy performances from the reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year, EL and the Koene hitmaker, Edem.
They will mount the stage to feed patrons with some of their hit songs at the Point of View comedy show being organised by comedian, DKB.
Talking to Showbiz after the press launch of the comedy show last friday, DKB said the artistes were billed on the show to add “refreshing moments”.
“This is a comedy show but the relevance of music can never be ignored. These two artistes were selected to provide the right dosage of music to relax the patrons who will be laughing their hearts out from my team of comedians and I,” he stated.
Apart from DKB, other comedians who are expected to split the sides of patrons on the night are Afia Schwarzenegger, James Brown, Chemical, Foster, KSM and Jacinta.
“I see things in a different perspective be it politics, culture and entertainment and I will use the show to impact positively on society’’ he said at the launch.
According to him, this is the first time he will be cracking jokes for an hour and promises Ghanaians are really going to love his act on the night.
“As a comedian, you should be able to hold your own show and I am glad the National Theatre collaborated with me in putting this together.
“It is about time Ghanaians believed in their own and I trust that we can do better than the Nigerians when given the needed support,” he stated.
