5 funny Ghanaian comedians you may not know.
You must have heard that Comedian Derrick Kobina Boney, alias DKB, made claim to the Ghana's king of comedy title over the weekend when he hosted his standup comedy show Point of View at the National Theatre.
DKB and other Ghanaian comedians gave off their best in a show that was a success and which has boosted interest in Ghanaian comedy.
Here are five Ghanaian comedians who who are doing so well but you may not have heard of:
1. Khemikal
Daniel Selase, aka Khemikal, says he sees comedy as a mode of communication. “Communicating with people in the comic form has been always been the easiest way for me to communicate with people aside it being a passion.”
2. Foster Romanus
He is of the view that Ghanaian comedians are not respected or given the recognition they deserve. “Ghanaian comedians have been underrated a lot of times. They have been underrated and intimidated because before you get on the stage, there is a whole bombardment that more or less seem to dispirit you.”
3. Ajeezay De Non-FAKing
He is a brilliant stand-up comedian and also the brain behind a lot of the funny memes we see on social media.
4. Jacinta
Arguably Ghana's best female comedian.
5. James Brown
He has established himself as a fine comedian and is a familiar face at comedy shows across the country.
