Coca Cola paid me $15,000 but Stonebwoy & EL were paid only $4,000 – Shatta Wale brags.

Guess you remember Coke Studio-Stonebwoy story right? Well, lots of people have started mocking Shatta Wale over this whole coke studio thing. According to lots of critics, Shatta Wale was the first person the guns at Coke Studio approached even earlier last year but Shatta Wale was dragging his feet and Stonebwoy went to accept the deal.
They again added that after Shatta Wale saw that Stonebwoy was going higher with respect to all this Coke studio thing and recording with the likes of Trey Songz, Shatta Wale is now envious of him.
Shatta Wale has reacted to all these stories making the rounds. In an interview with Pluzz FM, Shatta Wale disclosed that yes, Coke Studio guys approached him but what they wanted to pay him was just $4,200. He again added that he declined and the likes of Stonebwoy and EL went to accept the $4000.
He said, “All this coke thing, they approached me even last year that they wanted me on their platform and I was offered $4,200 and I was like damn, me, Shatta Wale $4,2000? Then I requested for $30,000 or else I'm not moving, which we later settled on $15,000. Even the $15,000 kraa, they said Coca-Cola South Africa will pay $5000 which Coca-Cola Kenya will pay $5,000 and Coca Cola Ghana will pay $5000”.
He went on to disclose that his fellow dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy instead of bargaining well and put value on his brand went to take the $4,000 likewise VGMAs artiste of the year winner, EL.
After Shatta Wale accepted the deal, the Coke studio guys paired him with Nigeria's Yemi Alade and this got Mr. Mensah not even interested in the deal any longer.
When the host asked him whether he's not making all this noise when he heard that Stonebwoy accepted the offer and he's now recording with Trey Songz, he said,
“I respect Yemi Alade too much but it's not that i don't want to do that thing (record) with her. I'm not into Yemi Alade's kind of music because we are both doing different style of music and I wouldn't be comfortable doing any song with her. My team are still having a meeting with coke to see if there can be a change of things.”
