Samini beefed because he was hungry – Artiste Manager
Creppy's comments follow a recent truce between bitter rivals, Samini and Shata Wale at the former's concert last weekend. Samini and Shata Wale had in the past taken swipes at each other through their songs and various social media platforms.
The duo ending the over four-year long feud generated comments from some industry players who described their grudge as unnecessary and of no monetary value to them.
But in an interview with an Accra based Pluzz FM, Creppy said the music industry had over the years witnessed similar grudges that had inured to the benefit of the musicians.
“When we talk about beef, it is a situation created by the industry, fans or artistes themselves to feed off. It's either for an advantage or a disadvantage. Let's not forget, when Samini was coming up, he beefed somebody because he was hungry. And when you are hungry and coming up, you will beef. Let's not sit here and pretend beef is not good,” he said.
Creppy however indicated that the step taken by the musicians will help Samini focus on releasing much better songs.
“What Samini has done is an advantage for him. It would help reposition his brand back where it belongs. But these are called strategies moving forward. Comments about coming together and moving the industry forward are all great agenda. But if they are going on a tour and all that, it would be one my [referring to Samini] terms because I'm the king,” the manager of Raquel stated.
