Every year, we see people get into relationships, and of course, some relationships just go bad after a while. And for our beloved celebs in Mzansi, it is no different. Just as we saw great hookups in 2016, some celebs had to say goodbye to their relationships.

Pearl Modiadie and Nkululeko Buthelezi
We saw Pearl Modiadie and Nkululeko Buthelezi seriously get into their relationship, which was beautiful as Pearl seemed to be so happy. Nkululeko swept her off her feet and proposed to her one of their travels, on a helicopter ride. Pearl even spoke up about how great it was to be a stepmom to his kids, but just recently, she confirmed their engagement is off. She has also ceased posting pictures of the two of them together on social media.
Blue Mbombo and K2
One of our favorite couples rapper K2, real name Katlego Mabusela, and reality star Blue Mbombo met on Big Brother and quickly became a much loved tv couple. After Big Brother the pair did Diski Divas together, but after that it seemed that the pair just could not juggle their relationship. Blue announced her split from K2 a few months after the split.
Itumeleng Khune and Sbahle Mpisane
tumeleng and Sbahle confirmed that they were a couple after rumours of their relationship went on overdrive. We loved how they would share their love on social media through Insta posts. And when they celebrated their first year together, we were excited to see the couple still having the hots for each other. Soon after though, the relationship fell apart, and Sbahle took to Instagram to announce their split.
Khanya Mkangisa and Matli Mohapeloa
Khanya and Matli broke up after a couple of years together, which broke the fans hearts. They were a great couple, and we loved how they would do super sweet Insta posts to each other. Sadly, around July this year they called it quits.
