I'm the Next Big Thing After Edem – Keeny Ice.
“I'm the next big thing after Edem:” these are the words of rising Hip-hop/Hiplife artiste Keeny Ice in an interview with Kwame Legend on Y97.9FM in Takoradi on Tuesday 28th February, 2017.
According to the rapper, VRMG Boss, Edem has commercialized Ewe music over the years and he is the next big artiste from the Volta Region to take it beyond boarders.
The “Move” crooner mentioned during the interview that, it takes music consumers some time to relate with their kind of music but quick to add that the language is getting more acceptance with Edem getting consistent hit songs and strategically staying relevance on the music scene.
Keeny Ice raps dominatly in “Adza”, a dialect wildly considered as Ewe pidgin spoken by the people of Aflao where he hails from.
The Mo'shes Musik signed artiste started commercial music two years ago and in this year released “Move” featuring Kofi Kinaata.
