Stonebwoy loses 2017 BET award to Wizkid

Stonebwoy, one of Ghana’s notable Dancehall artistes missed out his second BET win today, when the Best International Act award was swept up by Nigeria’s WizKid.

Stonebwoy earned his second nomination in the 2017 edition of the Black Entertainment Television Awards, following his first nomination and win in 2015.

This year’s category saw some new and popular names, including Mr. Eazi, AKA, Nasty C, Tekno, Davido as well as Babes Wondumo. The Best International Act award is handed at a private ceremony which seeks to recognise artistes from Africa and Europe and is held the night before the main event.

This year’s BET awards will feature star-studded performances as with every year, from popular American acts such as Bruno Mars, Mary J. Blige, Gucci Mane, Chris Brown among others.
